Client: Interlakes Animal Hospital in Meredith, NH.
Challenge: The indoor air quality (IAQ) issue in this veterinary setting was quite obvious; strong odors from the animals posed a serious comfort problem. Fresh air needed to be brought into various parts of the building. It was requested that 15 air changes per hour be applied to the distribution of air.
Solution: Two BPE-XE-MIR-1000 CFM units were oversized to bring in fresh, pre-conditioned air at a highly efficient rate. One of the units was ducted to the furnace return air channel while the other was used in a split system. High-efficiency fans using variable speed controls were also used to exhaust old treatment rooms and provide a negatively pressurized system–so as not to contaminate surroundings or spread distinct odors.
